Plastic surgery is
about more than looking more attractive. Cosmetic procedures help to renew
confidence, which translates to how we interact with others and gives us the
energy to fully enjoy life. With advancements in both technique and technology,
there have been numerous surgical and non-surgical procedures developed that
will help you look and feel younger.
Facial plastic surgeries such as facelift and rhinoplasty
offer the greatest impact when the goal is to smooth and tighten sagging skin
or improve facial balance and harmony. The results will last long into the
future. However, these and some other
procedures require recovery time that many women and men cannot afford to take
off from work. Fortunately, there are still many options available for busy
individuals who would like to be proactive about keeping their appearance
refreshed.
The following procedures are offered by The Aesthetic
Surgery Center of Naples, Florida, as part of our goal to meet the needs of our
diverse patient population:
Botox
Botox has been
a preferred treatment for dynamic facial wrinkles for many years, treating
forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and crow’s feet. These lines are caused by the
repetitive movement of certain facial muscles. To weaken the muscles and achieve
a more rested appearance, Dr. Agarwal and Dr. Maloney administer injections of
Botox in small doses for effective results that are safe for the patient. The
procedure takes about ten minutes, making it easy to fit into a lunch break. Patients
are then free to return to their normal routine.
Soft Tissue Fillers
There are several soft tissue fillers available, each offering different benefits. At The Aesthetic
Surgery Center, patients may receive injections of Juvederm, Restylane,
Perlane, Sculptra, Radiesse, and/or Artefill, depending on the area of the face
that needs rejuvenating. Fillers target wrinkles and folds and add volume to
areas of the face where youthful fat has been lost. The effects of the products
are temporary. Some last 3 to 4 months, while other longer lasting injectables
last from 1 to 5 years. Mild bruising may occur in some cases, but is easily
camouflaged with make-up so that you can return to work the same day.
Lip Enhancement
Multiple techniques are used to increase lip fullness. One technique is to inject the lips with the soft tissue filler
Juvederm or Restylane. The procedure quickly delivers a full pout that will
last about 6 months or longer. Patients
concerned about the appearance of swelling in their lips only require about a
day or two off from work before the lips look natural, making this a great
procedure to have done on a Thursday or Friday.
SkinTyte
The skin of your face, chin and upper chest can now be
tightened in the office without pain or scars. SkinTyte heats
the lower layers of the skin to initiate the production of more collagen.
Swelling the first day is minimal, if present at all. Over three to six months,
skin laxity will significantly improve without any downtime needed.
Broadband Light (BBL)
BBL
treats skin conditions such as age spots, small facial veins, freckles,
Poikiloderma, and Rosacea. Photothermal energy emitted from the device heats
the upper layers of the skin of the face to target fine vessels and the
overproduction of melanin. The epidermis is not harmed during the procedure,
allowing patients to apply makeup immediately and continue on with their day.
On average, four treatments are needed for the best results.
